We are a support group designed just for you, the at-home mother of today. You are interested in the world around you, want a variety of activities for you and your children, and are proud of your choice of at-home mothering for your families. We know, because we're at-home mothers, too!
You need a support group that understands your special needs as an at-home mother and we're it! We are the first, largest and fastest growing support group specifically for ALL at-home mothers.
What makes our club special
- We usually meet during the day, when at-home mothers most need support
- We believe being a mother should not isolate you, so mothers may bring their children with them.
- The MOMS Club® is a nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) publicly-supported charity registered with the IRS.
- At-home mothers of any age children are welcome!

History |
| |
The MOMS Club began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being home alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club was born. MOMS stands for MOMS Offering Moms Support.
Since the chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country and the world! The MOMS Club now has over 1,500 chapters with more than 60,000 members across the United States. New chapters are starting all the time. If you are not in our vicinity and would like to learn about or start a chapter in your own area, the International MOMS Club would love to help you.
Our Chapter's History
The MOMS® Club of Foxboro, MA was formed in September 2000. Our chapter split from the MOMS Club® of Mansfield/Norton area as a result of the growth in number of members. As of November 2005, the Foxboro Chapter has over 70 members and continues to grow each month.

How to Join |
| |
The MOMS Club® of Foxboro, MA invites you to visit our next Business Meeting! Our Chapter is very open to new members. Although the club was designed for at-home mothers, working mothers are also welcome. Since women are finding out about us and joining regularly, you probably will not be the only new person there. Although some of us have lived here for years, many of us are new in town or new to motherhood. We all have one thing in common - The MOMS Club® of Foxboro, MA introduced us to other moms in our community who stay at home…and these moms have become our friends.
Our membership dues are $30 for the first year and $25 per year after the initial year. As a non-profit organization, any money collected is used exclusively for our programs and projects. You are invited to attend two meetings before you decide to join. If there is any financial hardship, your dues may be waived.
Please contact our Membership VP for more information on meetings and events.

Sunshine Committee
The intention of the Sunshine Committee is to support members in their time of need. This may include bed rest, the birth of a new baby, a tragedy in the family, appointments, or you may simply need a short break.
In time of need you usually do not want to ask for help (meals prepared, sitting, errands, etc.), but please do! That is what the MOMS Club® is here for. Please contact our Sunshine Coordinator to arrange for help.

Play Groups |
| |
The MOMS Club® encourages you to join one of our playgroups! It is one of the greatest benefits of our club. It is a great way to get better acquainted with other MOMS Club members, and an excellent way for you and your children to make friends. Playgroups are usually up to the moms and their children, rotating weekly among each other's homes. If you have joined the club and would like to be placed in a playgroup, contact the Playgroup Coordinator. She will try to place you in an age appropriate group. If one does not exist, the Coordinator will help you to start a new group. New members are being added all the time!

Service Projects |
| |
Community Service is important to the MOMS Club®. One of the purposes of our club is to undertake and complete one charitable, humanitarian, or social welfare project related to moms, children, or our community each month. Our annual service calendar is scheduled by the Service VP and is based on input from our members. Volunteers are always welcome to coordinate the monthly projects. Some recent or upcoming projects include:
- H.U.G.S. - collected deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, soap, shampoo, feminine products, Shop&Stop or Shaw’s giftcards, and phone cards to be given to victims of domestic violence
- Foxboro Discretionary Fund / Family Gift Drive - volunteers bought "wish list" gifts for a Foxboro family in need.
- Boyden Library - collected new and used audio visual material for the Friends of Boyden Library
- Fresh Start Program - volunteers shopped for back-to-school clothes and supplies for Foxboro kids in need
- Coats for Kids - collected adults and childrens coats to be distributed locally among families in need
- Daffodil Drive - raised money to benefit the American Cancer Society
