| COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORKER |
| The Foxborough Council on Aging and Human Services offers social services to help any Foxboro residents work through the maze of services and programs available to them. Noreen Sherys, a Licensed Social Worker, has an extensive social service background and is a wonderful advocate for people of all ages. Starting in July, Noreen’s new hours at the senior center will be Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Noreen is also available to answer questions over the phone and is available to make house calls to individuals who cannot get to the senior center. |

| WIC PROGRAM |
| |
The Foxboro Senior Center is a site for the WIC program. Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program provides free food and nutrition information to help keep pregnant women, infants and children, including foster children, under 5 years old healthy and strong. Please call the Quincy WIC program at 617-376-4190 to arrange an appointment to meet with WIC staff at our Foxboro site. The WIC nutritionist will be at the Foxboro Senior Center every Thursday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. |

| OPERATION REASSURANCE |
|
| |
The Operation Reassurance program is a free service for Foxboro residents. This service is a voluntary daily telephone safety check program for anyone who lives alone or is confined to his or her home due to illness or if you live with a disabled spouse, relative or companion. Call the senior center at 508-543-1252 for more information.

| MASSHEALTH BENEFITS |
|

South Middlesex Legal Services (SMLS) is a nonprofit organization located in Framingham providing free legal services to people who live within our area and meet their income guidelines. SMLS has been awarded a state-funded grant in order to help people enroll in state-funded health insurance. Many families are eligible for MassHealth benefits but are not receiving them due to the sometimes confusing application process. SMLS provides assistance in completing healthcare benefits applications free of charge to residents in their service area. | LOW VISION SUPPORT GROUP |

Come and learn more abut vision loss, listen to guest speakers, share coping strategies and the company of others. On the 3 rd Thursday of every month at 1 p.m. the Low Vision Support Group meets at the senior center. This is an open group led by outreach social worker, Noreen Sherys. We will have an informal hour of sharing. The group encourages newcomers. If you have experienced vision loss, or are concerned about vision loss please join us. BEREAVEMENTGROUPS OF FOXBOROUGH |

This umbrella organization was established in an attempt to provide a starting point for anyone in need of bereavement support. Within this group is “The Circle” whose mission is to provide bereavement support during the school year to families who have lost a parent or sibling. The meetings take place every other Monday evening at the Foxborough Regional Charter School, 131 Central Street, in Foxboro, from September to May. Foxboro Human Services has joined with the Bereavement Groups of Foxborough to assist with the intake process, and other administrative tasks.
