- Story time is presented as an introduction to the pleasures of books and the library for children ages 3 to 5 years. We ask that youngsters be three years old on the first meeting of the session. Space is limited, so we ask everyone observe the age appropriate levels.
- Activities include stories, songs, finger plays, book time and simple crafts. The activities are designed to prepare children for the delightful wonders of reading and help bring books into the child's environment. Don't forget your library card!
- If the child does not require an adult's help in the story room, we ask the adult to wait within the library. When adults remain in the story room, we ask that you help us maintain a quiet environment by turning off cell phones and holding conversations after story time.
- Pre-registration is required to participate in a six-week session. If you have a change of plans, please contact the Children's Department as soon as possible. Walk-ins are welcome if the program isn't full. Please call ahead to determine if space is available. Children may be asked to register for every-other session if story time is in high demand. However, children may usually participate in a consecutive session by kindly waiting to sign up on the second day of registration.
- Please remember to arrive promptly for story time.
